About Bearing Resources
Bearing Resources, Inc. is an economic development firm founded by Michael Trotter, whose twenty-two year career at the electric utility company, Duke Energy Corporation, encompassed service in their Economic Development organization. Michael served in a managerial role where he was responsible for Duke’s economic development efforts in the Charlotte area, the Triad of NC and the Research Triangle area of North Carolina.
Prior to his service in that organization, Michael managed the relationships with several Fortune 500 companies for Duke Energy . He received a BS degree in electrical engineering from Clemson University in 1985 and has been in the economic development industry for over seventeen years. Michael is well known and respected throughout the economic development community. He has served on the board of directors for the North Carolina Economic Developers Association, the Centralina Council of Governments Economic Development Commission, Rowan Jobs Initiative and the Union County Partnership for Progress. Of particular emphasis is his site identification service that expertly identifies sites that are ideal for economic development purposes. In addition to site identification, Bearing Resources is also able to meet any short-term objectives of your organization where adding staff simply isn't practical. It is particularly useful to have access to somebody with extensive experience in the economic development industry. We're based in Greenville, South Carolina, but serve the continental United States with our services. |
Customer Testimonial
“We chose Bearing Resources to identify industrial sites in our region based on Mr. Trotter’s extensive industrial site development experience and his ability to discretely “scout” our region for potential industrial sites that were both marketable and developable. Our experience with Bearing Resources resulted in several site recommendations that we pursued in conjunction with our local county economic developers. Several of those sites subsequently underwent engineering due diligence and some are now being actively marketed by the county and region for industrial development.”
